PCRA Competitive Summer training begins June 17th  

TRAINING FACILITIES

Our boathouse is located on Glen Island in New Rochelle. In the case of inclement weather, Race Team practices may move to our indoor training facility located at 89 Wolfs Lane in Pelham. 

FALL PRESEASON RUNS MONDAY AUGUST 26TH - FRIDAY AUGUST 30TH

RACE TEAM

June 17th - July 31st

Race Team is our Varsity AND novice competitive team in the Summer season. This team is open to high schoolers with previous rowing experience. Athletes that wish to participate on race team without previous rowing experience must reach out to our administrators at admin@pcrarowing.com for assistance. Attendance at all practices is required; absences will impact race participation.

SCHEDULE

Regular Season: June 19th - July 31st

  • June 17th - June 21st (Monday-Friday)

    • Boys - 4:00pm - 6:30pm

    • Girls - 4:15pm - 6:45pm

  • June 24th - July 31st (Monday-Friday)

    • Both teams - 6:00am - 8:30am

    • Boys - Mon & Wed afternoon 4:30pm - 6:00pm

    • Girls - Tues & Thurs afternoon 4:30pm - 6:00pm

Summer Race Team Fee - $1595

TENTATIVE REGATTA SCHEDULE***

  • Independence Day Regatta - Philadelphia, PA -June 28th - June 29th

    • IDR COLLEGE EXPO Sunday June 30th - rising seniors encouraged to attend

      • IDR College Expo is only open to rising seniors due to NCAA rules and regulations

  • Philly Youth Regatta - Philadelphia, PA - July 20th

***Coaches are evaluating other regatta opportunities and may add other regattas to the schedule. Additional regattas would be for select crews only and additional fees may apply

SMOOTH SCULLING

June 24th - August 1st

PCRA’s smooth sculling program is our non competitive program for experienced athletes. Athletes from race, novice, and development 2 are approved for this program. Development 1 athletes and those new to the club can reach out to us at admin@pcrarowing.com for approval before joining. Practices are held in the evenings Monday - Thursday and the program runs from late June through the last week of July.

  • Monday - Thursday 5:30pm - 7:30pm

  • No practices July 4th
