Masters Programming at PCRA

 

Masters Fall 2026 Program

PCRA has programming for Masters (adults) of all abilities, from those that have rowed through college and on the national level, to individuals who have discovered a new sport and enjoy the camaraderie of team sports. There is a skill prerequisite to join our Masters team, if you are new to the sport please reach out to us at admin@pcrarowing.com to see if you qualify to join our masters team.

Season: August 31st - November 6th

  • No practice September 4th - 7th

Practice times (same for Spring, Summer, and Fall)

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:30am - 7:00am OR 7:15am - 8:45am

    • Please note: The 7:15am - 8:45am option will only be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Most September Saturdays from 6:00am - 7:30am — dates to be confirmed  (no practice over labor day weekend)

Race Schedule

  • Head of the Riverfront - Hartford, CT - Sunday October 4th

  • Head of the Housatonic - Shelton, CT - Sunday October 11th

  • **Head of the Charles - Boston, MA - Friday October 17th - Sunday October 19th

    • SELECT CREWS ONLY. Please note that only select crews will attend this regatta due to limited boat entries. Athletes attending this regatta may be subject to additional regatta fees.

  • Head of the Schuylkill - Philadelphia, PA - Sunday October 25th

Program Options:

  • Competitive Weekday program - Four weekdays & some Saturdays - $1,495

    • Includes participation in Fall Regattas.

  • Recreational Weekday program - Four weekdays & some Saturdays - $1,375.

  • Two-day option - $955


Learn to Row

We run Adult Learn to Row Programs in the Spring, Summer and Fall season and private lessons all year round. We welcome all adults interested in learning about rowing. This sport is a wonderful activity, available to people of all ages. It is a challenging, rewarding, team-based sport, and it doesn’t hurt that we row in a beautiful setting on the Orchard Beach lagoon. Contact admin@pcrarowing.com for more information. Captains/LogBook Rowing

LogBook rowing is available to experienced masters who row in a single or double without coaching or supervision. LogBook masters pay a per season fee and are able to use club equipment for their row including a wide selection of singles, doubles and oars.

LogBook rowing is available to all individuals who have passed their Captain’s certification exam. Please note, there is a $350 membership fee if your participation is limited to LogBook Rowing. There is a one time $150 fee to take the Captain’s exam.
