Masters Programming at PCRA
Masters Summer 2025 Program
PCRA has programming for Masters (adults) of all abilities, from those that have rowed through college and on the national level, to individuals who have discovered a new sport and enjoy the camaraderie of team sports. There is a skill prerequisite to join our Masters, if you are new to the sport please reach out to us at admin@pcrarowing.com to see if you qualify to join our Masters team.
Season:
June 16th - August 8th
No practice June 19th and July 4th & 5th
NOTE: Practice will be at the Boathouse in Glen Island unless emailed otherwise
Practice times (same for Spring, Summer, and Fall)
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:30am - 7:00am OR 7:15am - 8:45am (Please note: The 7:15am - 8:45am option will only be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Most Saturdays from 6:00am - 7:30am — dates to be confirmed.
Race Schedule
Rockland Masters Regatta - Rockland Rowing Boathouse, NY - June 28th
Carnegie Lake Regatta - Princeton, NJ - July 12th
Overpeck Summer Sprints - Leonia, NJ - July 27th
Quaker City Masters Regatta - Philadelphia, PA - August 3rd
Program Options:
Competitive Weekday program - Four weekdays & some Saturdays - $1,255
Includes participation in Summer Regattas.
Add in a weekly Pilates class for the duration of the Spring season for an additional $250. Only available for the four/five day program.
$1,505 total for the four/five day program with a weekly Pilates class.
Recreational Weekday program - Four weekdays & some Saturdays - $1,150.
Add in a weekly Pilates class for the duration of the Spring season for an additional $250. Only available for the four/five day program.
$1,400 total for the four/five day program with a weekly Pilates class.
Two-day option - $730
Add 6 Pilates classes to your Spring training for an additional $125. Only available for the two day program.
$855 total for the two day program + 6 Pilates classes.
PCRA returning Alumni Program - $500
PCRA welcomes back recent PCRA youth alumni to participate with our masters program practices over their Summer break. This program is discounted at a rate of $500 for the Summer season. PLEASE NOTE all participants in the young alumni program must adhere to the rules and regulations linked here as well as standard on the water safety procedures. By registering for the program you are agreeing to comply with the guidelines for this program.
You must be a CURRENT college student as well as an alumni of PCRA’s girls or boys race team to qualify.
Practices are with the masters team during the masters on the water practice times as written above, up to four practices a week.
There is an additional $100 fee to participate in Summer regattas
Learn to Row
We run Adult Learn to Row Programs in the Spring, Summer and Fall season and private lessons all year round. We welcome all adults interested in learning about rowing. This sport is a wonderful activity, available to people of all ages. It is a challenging, rewarding, team-based sport, and it doesn’t hurt that we row in a beautiful setting on the Orchard Beach lagoon. Contact admin@pcrarowing.com for more information.
SUMMER DATES TBD
Captains/LogBook Rowing
LogBook rowing is available to experienced masters who row in a single or double without coaching or supervision. LogBook masters pay a per season fee and are able to use club equipment for their row including a wide selection of singles, doubles and oars.
LogBook rowing is available to all individuals who have passed their Captain’s certification exam. Please note, there is a $350 annual membership fee if your participation is limited to LogBook Rowing. There is a one time $150 fee to take the Captain’s exam.
