Rules for PCRA Young Alumni Summer Rowing
Registration is required BEFORE attending any practices: All returning PCRA athletes wishing to row at PCRA this Summer must register before they can practice with PCRA.
Rowing only permitted during the specified practice times: Unless you have passed your captains test you CANNOT take boats out outside of masters practice times. This includes rowing outside of practice hours in a double/quad with someone who has passed their captains exam; everyone in the boat must have passed the captains test. If you are coaching at PCRA this Summer we may be able to make an exception (email us at admin@pcrarowing.com if that's the case to discuss more). To summarize: unless you have passed your captains test you are only permitted to row during the set masters practice times.
NO GUEST ROWERS: There will be no "guest" rowers participating in rowing at PCRA without waivers and/or registration. No exceptions will be made to athletes who have rowed with PCRA in the past.
No access to the studio outside of practice times: There will be no access to the studio outside of indoor practices during the specified practice times; no exceptions. Practices will only be at the studio in the event of inclement weather. Athletes may use ergs at the boathouse but priority access to the ergs will be given to the youth programs.
No attending youth practices: Your registration is for the masters practices only, you may not attend afternoon youth practices.
One Warning and then Membership Cancelled: In the event someone is found breaking these rules they may be issued a warning by one of our coaches. If they are found to have broken a rule again they will not be permitted to row at the boathouse for the rest of the season. In the event of egregious misconduct PCRA reserves the right to immediately revoke all rowing privileges for the remainder of the Summer season and future registrations/membership would be subject to coaches approval. In the event an athlete has their rowing privileges revoked due to a rule violation there will be no refund for fees paid.
